March Card Making Class

On 7 March, I held my second card making class at the local Community Center (Springdale) & it was even more fun than the first one, cos I wasn't so nervous! This time I decided to show a couple of different cards for inspiration & take a bunch of different Designer Series Paper, matching inks & cardstocks & a bunch of stamps & matching dies & just let the girls go to town! It was certainly a lot easier for me, but I think I gave a few too many options as it took a while for everyone to get started. We'll try for a happy medium next month!

Here are the four cards I had as inspiration:

The metallic purple cardstock & white, gold & black washi tape are from my stash. I have also used:

On the first card:

Whisper White cardstock, It's my Party Designer Series Paper (DSP)

This is the inside of the first card in the above picture. I have used the Party Pop Up Dies & Whisper White cardstock. Behind it is a black print layer of It's My Party DSP.

So I took along all those goodies, plus a few extras eg Dimensionals, Tear & Tape adhesive, Stampin' Trimmer, Big Shot & Precision Plate, Stampin' Scrub & Stampin' Mist & some extra cardstock.

This is the inside of Irene's second card, where she has used the Party Pop Up thinlits with Whisper White cardstock & a layer of It's My Party DSP underneath.

We also had Mary create two lovely cards in our class, but I forgot to take photos of them! Both of her card bases were Whisper White. One had a layer of Lost Lagoon cardstock with the Bloomin Heart thinlit cut out on top with a Crumb Cake design from the Love Blossoms DSP. The other card had a layers of Blackberry Bliss and colourful chevron type design from the Wildflower fields DSP & a small rose from the Rose Wonder thinlits in Hello Honey.

All of the ladies made lovely cards! I'm so happy to be sharing my goodies around & making some people smile, the ladies who make the cards & the lucky people who receive them. Stay tuned for next month's cards - we were talking about doing some fun fold cards & some heat emboss/watercolouring cards, so we'll see what I can come up with! It should be fun!!
