Stitched with Cheer for #FMS260

Hi Crafters!

Today I'm playing with my Stitched with Cheer stamp set again! I can't get enough of these sweet sentiments! It's a similar card to what I made the other day, but with a banner instead of a layer & I really like the look. What do you think?

I have used a Very Vanilla cardstock base with a layer of Holly Embossed Cherry Cobbler cardstock & a banner made with the This Christmas Specialty Designer Series Paper. I have used the Layering Circle Framelits for the center piece in Very Vanilla & Cherry Cobbler & stamped the sentiment from the Stitched with Cheer stamp set in Cherry Cobbler as well. I really like the look of adding all the different layers in the same colours. I have used my Big Shot for the Layering Circle Framelits & the Holly Embossing.

On the inside, I have done a simple sentiment in Cherry Cobbler with the snowflake images in Smoky Slate. If you're making several of these cards, you can line up your snowflake stamps where you want them on the card & then use a larger Clear Block to pick them all up at once. That way, you only need to ink & stamp once per card for each colour. You can line them up easily if you do the sentiment first & then you can see it through the clear block, so you can stamp all the snowflakes around it at the same time.

I have entered this card into the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #FMS260.

Flurry of Wishes for #JAI335

Hi Crafters!

Today I have a really sweet & easy Christmas card for you! I was inspired by the Stitched with Cheer Project Kit cards I made previously, especially the Mint Macaron one with the big snowflake on it, so I decided to try & make something a bit similar & this is what I came up with:

I started with the Mint Macaron carstock base & stamped it with the Hardwood background stamp, also in Mint Macaron. Then I added the smaller snowflakes in Emerald Envy & the largest snowflake & sentiment in White Heat Embossing (set with Versamark & the Heat Tool). Make sure you rub your card over with the Embossing Buddy first for a clean heat embossed image. All of the images & sentiments I have used come from the Flurry of Wishes stamp set & it also has a matching punch for the two smaller snowflakes. I also added a few of the Metallic Enamel Shapes.

I have also stamped the inside with the smaller snowflakes, this time in Mint Macaron & the sentiment in Emerald Envy.

I have entered this card into the Just Add Ink Challenge:

Flourishing Phrases for #SS014 & #CTC009

Hi Crafters!

Today I'm playing along with Strawberry Sketches & Case This Card! I have taken inspiration from Louise's colours (Bermuda Bay & Sweet Sugarplum) & floral design in her winning entry for Case This Card last week & used the layout from Strawberry Sketches. I think this is really pretty & I hope you like it too! xx

I have used a Sweet Sugarplum cardstock base with a layer of the gorgeous Fancy Frost Specialty Designer Paper. Then I have stamped the flower from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set with Bermuda Bay, onto Pool Party cardstock, sliced it up & stuck it on with Dimensionals. I felt like it still needed another layer underneath but it was too late to pull it back off, so I went around the outside with my Bermuda Bay Stampin' Write Marker & I'm super happy with the effect! This was a little trick I learnt off the amazing Brian King! Love that guy!

The banner stamp & XOXO sentiment come from the Bloomin' Love stamp set & I have cut out the banner with the little banner die from the Large Numbers Framelits. I love how Stampin' Up! coordinates all it's products! I also added a bit of the Copper Thread under the banner.

I have matched the inside with a layer of Whisper White cardstock, stamped with Sweet Sugarplum & Bermuda Bay using the sentiment & image from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set - I love this stamp set!! And it has matching framelits, too! Perfecto!

I have also entered this card into this week's Crazy Crafters Project Highlights. You can see all the entries & vote for your favourites from 7.30pm tonight!

Cookie Cutter for #GDP059

Hi Crafters!

Today I'm playing along with the Global Design Project Animal Theme Challenge & I am smashing out the Christmas cards for family & friends! I like to do mixed packs & so I usually come up with a few different designs to put in each pack.

I have cased my own card from Cassie's party just recently, cos I loved the sketch layout I got from Strawberry Sketches for that one & thought it would be easy to produce in bulk. I think they're super cute! I hope you like them, too!

I've started with a Crumb Cake cardstock base & added a layer of Whisper White cardstock & the Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper (DSP). This DSP is on sale until 31 October with a select range of others - Buy 3 & get one Free! See below for more info. I've also added a strip of scrap Candy Cane Lane DSP in a different pattern, to give a little lift to the card - waste not, want not!

I have also used the Gold Foil cardstock, cut with the largest Layering Circle Framelit with the scalloped edge in the Big Shot & then I've run it through the Big Shot again with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder. I have stamped the little reindeers from the Christmas Cookie Cutter stamp set in Crumb Cake & cut them out with the matching punch. You can get these in a bundle & save 10%!

Here's a bunch I did in the different papers from the Candy Cane Lane DSP with the reindeers.

And a bunch with the little ginger bread man instead.

These two originally had reindeer on them, but I realised I'd stuck the front layers on upside down! So I covered them with ginger bread men haha!

I have stamped all of the insides the same as above, using the Peace This Christmas stamp set for the images & sentiment. Aren't they lovely? I stamped the sentiment in Real Red & then set up where I wanted my images on the card & then used a large Clear Block to pick them up, so I only had to ink & stamp once on each card with the Crumb Cake ink. I use this little trick a lot with smaller images that I want to stamp in the same colour & find its really useful to cut down on time when you're stamping a bunch of cards. I hope you find it useful, too!
