Global Design Project Colour Challenge - Oh So Eclectic

Hi Crafters!

Today I'm playing along with the Global Design Colour Challenge - Lemon Lime Twist, Berry Burst & Pool Party! What a great combo!

I have cased the card on the front cover of the new 2017 Annual Catalog for a party. I also made two stepped up versions of the card.

This first card is the one we all made. I like to keep it pretty simple for a party so that we all get great results & it doesn't take too long. And I'm very happy to announce that my lovely host Robyn has joined my team from this party! Welcome to the Possum Posse, Robyn! xx

I have used a Berry Burst cardstock base with a layer of Shimmery White, stamped with the flower filler stamp in Berry Burst, Pool Party & Lemon Lime Twist - these stamps are meant to give a watercolour look & be a little patchy. Then we stamped the larger flower & sentiment over the top in Basic Gray.

For the first up stepped version, I have added a layer of Lemon Lime Twist, some Basic Black Baker's Twine & some Dimensionals.

And then for the next up stepped version, I have added two quarter pieces of the small silver Metallic Foil Doilies & a Clear Faceted Gem. I have also Spritzed the card with water. I was a little impatient & glued it to the Lemon Lime Twist layer before the Shimmery White has dried, so it buckled a little. The Basic Gray is Archival Ink, so it doesn't run.

All the cards have been stamped with Pool Party & Basic Grey on the inside, on Whisper White cardstock. All the images & sentiments are from the Oh So Eclectic stamp set. This stamp set also comes in a bundle with the matching dies & they are amazingly beautiful!

Here is the GDP Challenge I have used:

Ink & Inspiration June Blog Hop - Guy Greetings

Hi Crafters!

Welcome to the second Ink & Inspirations blog hop! Tonight we've gone Masculine! And I've got a super quick blog post for you cos the littlest man in my life is teething! Gah! :P

I've made this card for my brother in law who's a body builder. So I'm teasing him for his mammoth size & also that he's getting on a bit lol!

I have used a Crumb Cake cardstock base with a layer of Pick a Pattern Designer Series Paper (DSP). I have stamped the background with the little dots (I think they look like little dinosaur footsteps) from the Pieces & Patterns stamp set & used the new Starburst Punch with the Wood Textures DSP. I have fussy cut one of the mammoths from the Pick a Pattern DSP & the Crushed Curry banner & black strip are also from the Pick a Pattern DSP. The sentiment is from the Guy Greetings stamp set. The whole thing is put together with Tombow Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I hope you've enjoyed my simple card & enjoy the rest of the hop!

Jar of Love for GDP092

Hi Crafters!

How are you going on this lovely day? Today I'm playing along with Global Design Project's Case the Designer Challenge - it's the beautiful & amazing crafting genius, Steffi Helmschrott! The card that she has made for the challenge features the Jar of Love stamp set & I just love that set, so I have used that for my card, too!

I have kept my colours really simple, just using Basic Black, Smoky Slate, Calypso Coral & Pool Party. I have inked up the Petal Burst Embossing Folder & spritzed then used Shimmery White & taken it for a roll through my Big Shot for the background. I've also added some Burlap Ribbon, Linen Thread & Copper Trim & a Smoky Slate card base.

This is another inside I've done where I've drawn the border on the inside with my Stampin Write Markers. I just love this handmade look & my I love using my Markers! You can also use the Markers to write in the cards with coordinating colors to match your card front or flick colour across the your cards for the beautiful splatter look. You can buy the Markers in the colour families or in the Many Marvelous Markers Box which has all the brights, subtles, regals & neutrals included & room for the InColour sets to fit, too.

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Jeanette Egemann - Eastern Beauty

Hi Crafters!

Some exciting news for you today! It's Blog Hop time!! Today we are CASE-ing (Copy & Selectively Edit) the wonderfully talented Jeanette Egemann, who is also joining us on this hop!

I hope you find great inspiration from all the projects in this hop. You may be starting the hop here at my blog (Jessie Holton) or you may have come from the previous person on the list. Be sure to click on the next person in the list to continue your blog hop adventure casing Jeanette's work.

Here's Jeanette's card which I have chosen to case. I really wanted to use the new Eastern Beauty stamp set again & I really like Jeanette's layered effect. You can buy this stamp set separately or in a bundle with matching dies & there are tons of dies in that pack with an amazing potential for combinations! Jeanette has used some of the dies in her beautiful card below xx
And here is what I came up with. I've made a super simple stamping only version & a slightly up stepped version with a little DSP & punching. I used these cards for a party I recently held. And from that party I have two new team members - Welcome to the Possum Posse Alex & Mel! I'm so glad to have you on board! xx

I've used the new Very Vanilla Notecards & Envelopes (20 pack) as they make organising for a party so easy & the Vanilla is a coordinating colour for the Eastern Palace Designer Series Paper (DSP). I've only used two colours, both new, Lemon Lime Twist & Tranquil Tide. The Eastern Palace DSP has three of the five new InColours in it. We also flicked the Tranquil Tide Stampin Write Marker for a little splatter of colour across the card front.

These were really simple for everyone at the party to replicate & adjust to make their own. Everyone had lots of fun playing with this beautiful stamp set & we stamped the inside to match as well!

I hope you have enjoyed my cards today & that they have inspired you to have a play with some Clean & Simple (CAS) designs! Make sure hop around the rest of the team to see all the beautiful projects that have been made, you don't want to miss any!
