Cute Christmas Cards with Wondrous Wreath

Hi Crafters!

I have made two different types of cards today using the Mojo & Casology challenges, see the details below! I hope you like them! I think they're super cute!!

So they are both on Thick Whisper White cardstock bases & use the Presents & Pinecones DSP with the Gold Sequin Trim. In this top one, I have used a Gold Metallic Doily & the Designer Tin of Cards stamp set, inked with Mint Macaron, to match the DSP. I have then punched the Whisper White cardstock out with the 2" Circle Punch, glued onto the Doily with Tombow & I have popped some Dimensionals behind, to lift it a little off the card.

http://www.craftykylie.com/2016/09/crazy-crafters-highlights-vote-for-your.html

I have also entered the above card into the Crazy Crafters Project Highlights for this week. You can see all the entries & vote for your favourites from 6.30pm tonight xx

For this second lot, I have used the Wondrous Wreath stamp set & matching Wonderful Wreath framelits to cut the wreath (on Whisper White & inked in Mint Macaron, Emerald Envy & Cherry Cobbler) and the Noel (in Gold Foil). I have used my Precision Plate on the Big Shot for the Noel & also used it for the wreaths, although it's probably only needed for the Noel. I have propped the wreaths up on Dimensionals.

So, when I was having a look around for some inspiration, I found this Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge #MOJO467 & thought it's just so cute!!

And then I opened the next challenge & found the CASology Cue Card Challenge #CAS217! Haha! It's meant to be!!

Stitched with Cheer Project Kit

Hi Crafters!

I just had to show you this gorgeous Stitched with Cheer Christmas Card Project Kit! Isn't it cute!! I love how easy Stampin Up! make everything to coordinate, it's so easy to put together & you have tons of little embellishments left over for other projects! Yay!

These cards were so quick & easy to put together! I'm going to send a bunch of them to my team members to thank them for their hard work & then they'll also have them on hand to show their customers! I'm sure everyone will fall in love with them cos they're so cute! I love the hand stitched bits! xx

I also stamped a bunch of the banners in Real Red & they came up a treat! I also only needed to use 6 of the 12 banners provided, so I'll have fun making other projects with those! There were also tons of the gold thread, little leaves & berries left over, too!

Sqee! I love these gorgeous trees! I have left the bottom layer flat & gently folded the top layer in a bit to give it that 3D look.

And I think these Mint Macaron snow flake cards are just gorgeous! These are my fave out of the three. Which are your favourite? They also came with 6 Kraft banners, but I decided to use them on another project.

Here's a little vid I have made with some tips & tricks for you with this Kit. Subscribe to my YouTube Channel so you get all my tips & tricks! xx

I have entered these cards into the Global Design Project Random Act of Kindness (RAK) Card Challenge #GDP055

And I have entered the Star card into the Paper Players #PP314 Layout Challenge

Stitched with Cheer for #PCC013

Hi Crafters!

This was a hard one for me today! My mother in law loves big cards & requested a bunch of them for Christmas. I find them really hard to layout as everything feels out of proportion. And I have been trying to do the same blog challenges every week, so on Monday's it's Pootles Colour Challenge, which has the colour combo including Choc Chip, which is one of my least favourite colours lol what a hard combo!

But I thought I would stick to my schedule & just try & do my best. Sometimes it's really good to challenge yourself & do something completely uncomfortable. And I'm actually really happy with the end result! I'd love to hear what you guys think about it xx

So the idea came to me that I should make the front look like a present with a tag hanging off. I think I might add some pine leaves or something next time, but overall I'm quite happy with how this looks. I have used a Cherry Cobbler base (A4 folded in half) layered with Choc Chip DSP Stack dot print & then I have used washi tape to secure the Emerald Envy Satin Ribbon behind.

I have tied the bow separately & stapled it together with the Whisper White circle, which I have stamped with Mint Macaron & Cherry Cobbler using the Stitched with Cheer stamp set that goes with the Project Kit on page 34 of the Holiday Catalog. Let me know if you would like a copy of this & I'll shoot you one in the post. I've added a couple of Basic Rhinestones for good measure.

Then on the inside, I have used the dot print from the Decorative Masks in the Holiday catalog, sponged lightly with Mint Macaron. All the other images & sentiment come from the Stitched with Cheer stamp set & are in Mint Macaron, Choc Chip, Emerald Envy & Cherry Cobbler. I have filled up a lot of the space as I know although my mother in law likes big cards, she doesn't write big messages haha! :P xx

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Paula Dobson

Hi Crafters!

Some exciting news for you today! It's Blog Hop time!! Today we are CASE-ing (Copy & Selectively Edit) the wonderfully talented Paula Dobson, who is also joining us on this hop!

I hope you find great inspiration from all the projects in this hop. You may be starting the hop here at my blog (Jessie Holton) or you may have come from the previous person on the list. Be sure to click on the next person in the list to continue your blog hop adventure casing Paula's work.

I noticed while trying to choose a card of Paula's to case, that she usually has a bit of sponging or watercolouring & some defining borders. I really love her style!! I couldn't choose one card to case, but I managed to narrow it down to two haha! Here's Paula's cards.

And here are my cases of Paula's beautiful cards. They are both on Basic Black cardstock bases & using the Remarkable You stamp set (images) & the retired For the New Two stamp set (sentiments).

For this first one, I have wet a strip on the Watercolour paper a little off center with my Aqua Painter & then dripped Real Red, Bermuda Bay & Daffodil Delight inks right on top, letting them blend naturally. The sentiment & image are inked in Basic Black Archival, but you could also use Momento Black, as long as you allowed the watercolouring to dry completely first. Apart from the drying time, this was a really easy card to make.

For the second card, I have Heat Embossed Gold with my Versamark & Heat Tool all over the top half of the base, then added a layer of Whisper White with the same image from the Remarkable You stamp set in Basic Black. I have also used Gold heat emboss powder for the sentiment, which I have layered on Whisper White & propped up on Dimensionals. Before attaching the sentiment, I have added a strip of Gold Sequin Trim.

This pic shows off the Gold heat embossing a little more in the light.

And I have continued the look on the inside of the card, with Basic Black images, Gold heat embossed sentiment & a couple of Gold Sequins on Glue Dots for good measure.

I hope you have enjoyed my cards, I would love to know which is your favourite! Please hop around the rest of the Crazy Crafters & check out our cases of Paula's wonderful work!

Jar of Love for Crazy Crafters Team Highlights

Hi Crafters!

Oh I love what I have come up with today! Don't you just love it when a card turns out so perfectly? This is an anniversary card xx

I have used a Thick Whisper White base & layer, with a layer of Blooms & Bliss DSP & Fancy Foil Acetate Sheet. I have used the 3 largest Layering Circle Framelits to create the little window. I was going to make this card as a shaker card but decided it had enough going on, so I didn't end up putting anything behind the window. I have used the Wonderful Wreaths framelits for the Joy sentiment, cut on Gold Foil.

And I have used the Jar of Love stamp set & Everyday Jars framelits for the jar, flowers & 'You Fill Me With' sentiment, which I have used the Washi Tape Technique to cut the 'Happiness' off the end of the sentiment so I could use the Joy instead.

I have used the Decorative Masks Heart stencil for the inside with the image & sentiment coming from the Bloomin' Love stamp set.

I have entered this card into the Crazy Crafters Team Project Highlights for this week. You can see all  the entries & vote for your favourites from 6.30pm tonight AEST.

I got my colour combo over at Pals Paper Arts #PPA319 Challenge today.

ppa-319-sep22

And I got my layout from casing Patrice Easton's card over at the Just Add Ink #JAI330 Challenge.

Presents & Pinecones Suite for #GDP054

Hi Crafters!

Playing along with challenges is such a fun way to get out of your normal way of doing things! If you haven't played along with a challenge lately, you can check out my list of them.

Today I played along with the Global Design Project #GDP054 & this is what I have come up with - I've been wanting to use the gorgeous Presents & Pinecones suite from the Holiday Catalog since I got them about 2 weeks ago & I thought this would be the perfect layout for it!

I have used a Thick Whisper White cardstock base for both cards, along with the Pretty Pines Thinlits, cut in Gold Foil on my Big Shot. The Precision Base is recommended for the Pretty Pines Thinlits as they are quite delicate, so you will get a cleaner cut if you use it. I have also used the Die Brush & foam mat to get all the little bits out afterwards. It would take forever to get all those little bits out otherwise haha!

Then I have used the Pine Bough Embossing Folder & the Triple Banner Punch for the banner. The paper is from the Presents & Pinecones Designer Series Paper & I have used the matching Presents & Pinecones Cardstock pack which comes with Thick Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler & Emerald Envy A4 sheets, 8 of each for just $14! You can only just see it in these pics, but the Cherry Cobbler DSP I have used on the second card has faint snowflakes on it. It's really pretty up close!

I have also used the Gold Sequin Trim in the embellishments & added a little bow made with the Silky Taffeta Ribbon Combo Pack which comes with Emerald Envy & Cherry Cobbler. On this second card, I have also added a couple of strips of the Presents & Pinecones Washi Tape. This second card is the one I have entered at #GDP054.

On the inside, I have used the sentiment & images from the Christmas Pines stamp set in Cherry Cobbler & Emerald Envy inks.
