Rose Wonder #GDP053

Hi Crafters!

Today I'm playing along with the Global Design Project #GDP053 Colour Challenge. The colours are Gold, Night of Navy & Watermelon. I've really enjoyed this colour challenge & thought it would suit some Rose Wonder Wedding cards well, so here you go!

Here is the one I have entered into the GDP Challenge. I have used the Rose Wonder bundle for the images & rose. The rose is cut on Gold Foil & the sentiment is gold heat embossed on Whisper White cardstock & propped up on Dimensionals. The base is Night of Navy & the middle layer is the Hardwood background stamp in Watermelon Wonder, on Whisper White. I have also added a little gold heart from the Metallic Enamel Shapes.

A little tip: I have used Tombow glue to stick the rose down. I have put the glue on while it was on the Silicone Mat as the excess glue just peels off once dry. And if you get any glue on the front of the Gold Foil, you can use an ear bud with some rubbing alcohol to get it off & make it all shiny again.

And another version of the card, this time using the large rose image from the Rose Wonder bundle on Pool Party cardstock, with a layer of Gold Foil & a Night of Navy base. I have used the corner of the ink pad to colour in the image in Pool Party for the leaves & Watermelon Wonder for the rose, but you could just as easily use a dauber to apply the ink or use the Stampin' Write Markets to colour it in. And I've added a little Gold Metallic Enamel Shape on this one, too.

  1. I just finished writing a comment on another blog about how the simplicity of the card belies the thought process & time put into it. This is another perfect example of this. A great card Jessie x well done

  5. That's good. To find military bases in Georgia now we don't need to scroll in google and check on pages for long. Militarybases has information about military, army, naval and other bases listed by state.
