Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Sarah Berry - Touches of Texture

Hi Crafters!

Some exciting news for you today! It's Blog Hop time!! Today we are CASE-ing (Copy & Selectively Edit) the lovely Sarah Berry, who is also joining us on this hop!

I hope you find great inspiration from all the projects in this hop. You may be starting the hop here at my blog (Jessie Holton) or you may have come from the previous person on the list. Be sure to click on the next person in the list to continue your blog hop adventure casing Sarah's work.

I am so excited to show you Sarah's card & my case! Here's Sarah's card:

And here is my case of Sarah's card. I started with the gold & mint one on the right but I thought it was too busy, so I did the copper & pink one on the left.

Both cards have a Thick Whisper White base. For the first one, I used a layer of Gold Foil with another layer of Whisper White on top. I have heat embossed Gold using the large flower stamp from the Touches of Texture stamp set by Stampin'  Up! with the Versamark & Heat Tool. Then I have used other images from both Touches of Texture & the Blooms & Wishes stamp sets in Night of Navy, Crumb Cake, Blushing Bride, So Saffron & Mint Macaron.

I have added a little strip of the Sheer Linen Mint Macaron Ribbon with two circles of cardstock in Mint Macaron (2" Circle Punch) & Whisper White (1-3/4" Circle Punch). I have then heat embossed the sentiment from the Blooms & Wishes stamp set in Gold. I have added a layer of Dimensionals between the Gold & Whisper White layers.

When I was making the first card, I thought the colours would look really nice with the new Copper heat embossing & I wanted to make a cleaner card as well. For this next one, I have used two layers of Whisper White cardstock on top of the base. I have heat embossed Copper all the way around the edge of the bottom layer, around the 2" Circle that the sentiment is on & for the outline of the larger flowers. I have used the same images from the two stamp sets, but fewer of them & this time I have used Smoky Slate in place of Crumb Cake ink.

I have added the Sheer Linen Mint Macaron Ribbon again but with a layer of Blushing Bride sequin trim over the top.

I hope you have enjoyed my cards, I would love to know which is your favourite! Please hop around the rest of the Crazy Crafters & check out our cases of Sarah's beautiful work!

  7. Jessie, both these cards are gorgeous. I am seeing a different you over the last couple of weeks. I don't want to sound nasty as that is not how I want this to come across. But your work has become, softer, more gentle, nurturing in a way, you seem to have an inner peace within yourself. These cards really show this to me. :)
