Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Martha Inchley - In the City

Hi Crafters!

Some exciting news for you today! We are CASE-ing (Copy & Selectively Edit) the lovely MARTHA INCHLEY, who is also joining us on this hop! Exciting!

I hope you find great inspiration from all the projects in this hop. You may be starting the hop here at my blog (Jessie Holton) or you may have come from the previous person on the list. Be sure to click on the next person in the list to continue your blog hop adventure casing Martha's work.

Here is Martha's card which I've chosen to Case. I just love this stamp set!

And here's my version using the same In The City hostess stamp set. I've also made my own background. You can see the video I made here on my Facebook page. I have made four of these. There must be something in the water, all my friends are moving house at the moment!

I've smoothed over some of the Embossing Paste using the Palette Knives & the cloud template from the Pattern Party Decorative Masks. I've left them white & fluffy, but you can mix in ink from your reinkers on the Silicone Mat. Remember to wash off your tools immediately in warm soapy water so that the Embossing Paste doesn't stick to them, it dries fast!

I have kept to a simple colour scheme of Tranquil Tide, Pool Party, Smokey Slate & Basic Black. I lined up the stamps into the above arrangement & then picked them all up on one clear block, stamping all the outlines in one go, filling in the colour & fussy cut them, leaving a strip along the bottom so they all stayed in one piece. I found this easier for making them in bulk.

The sentiment & bunting are from the Sweet Home stamp set. There are framelits for these, but I've fussy cut mine as I forgot I had the framelits haha! I've also added a nest of Silver Metallic Thread & some of the smallest silver sequins from the Metallic Sequins Assortment.

For the inside, I have used the Congratulations from Flourishing Phrases, the Welcome from Sweet Home & the house from In The City, all stamped in Tranquil Tide.

I hope that you have enjoyed my card today & the techniques shown. Have fun going around the rest of the crew & enjoy all the cards & projects we've made for you today! And special thanks to Martha for hopping with us, it was fun casing you!
