Ink & Inspirations July Blog Hop - Carols of Christmas

Hi Crafters!

Welcome to our Watercolour themed Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop for July! Thanks for joining us & I hope you enjoy all the wonderful projects we've made for you this month. Please make sure you hop around the list at the bottom & check them all out! We've got so many amazing crafters on this hop, you don't want to miss any.

It's taken me a while to get this set out for a play! This is the new Carols of Christmas stamp set that you get FOR FREE when you Join my Team this month. For more info on all the bonus products you get in your Kit this month, see the Christmas in July info below - you only have until 31 July to take advantage of this offer!

I have made two cards with this gorgeous stamp set. I just love these big sentiments! I've created both of these backgrounds by splashing ink across the Shimmery White cardstock with my Aqua Painter.
You can either use a drop or two of ink from your reinkers to your palette or I like to use the inside of the lid of the ink pad. Or you can squish the ink pad so it leaves some ink on the lid & use that. A little water goes a long way! I have started by adding 2-3 drops of water from my Aqua Painter for the darkest/first layer & then added another drop or two for each layer after, adding 3 layers all up & drying in between with my Heat Tool.

The first is a Berry Burst Watercolour background with white & gold heat embossing. I've used the coordinating framelits to die cut the corner flowers & baubles & added them back onto the card with Mini Dimensionals. I've offset the flowers to let the Whisper White cardstock base show through from underneath.

The second is a Wild Wasabi Watercolour background with a Crumb Cake reindeer & gold heat embossing. How cute is that little reindeer! I've die cut him & the trees with the coordinating framelits & propped them up with Dimensionals.

I hope you've enjoyed my cards today & all the terrific projects made by the crew. You can see their projects by hopping around this list below. You're currently visiting Jessie Holton in Australia.
