Tags & Labels Framelits Party

Hi Crafters!

Following on from my previous post, I had two parties on Saturday & they were both heaps of fun!! I forgot to take pics of all the beautiful butterfly cards we made a Cassie's party but I did remember to take some pics of the tags we made for Caitlyn's party, so here are some fun photos for you!

We used the Tags & Labels Framelits on the Big Shot with the Precison Plate to cut out the cute tag shapes.

We have used Shine On Specialty Designer Series Paper & Sale-A-Brations Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper, Cucumber Crush, Hello Honey & Whisper White cardstock, white bakers twine, basic rhinestones & some Pool Party Glitter Ribbon.

The inks are Cucumber Crush, Calypso Coral & Hello Honey. The washi tape is from the new Affectionately Yours set from the new catalog. I have also used the Bitty Banner & Triple Banner punches, some Dimensionals & a stapler. The bases are 4x4".

Party Party Party!

Hi Crafters!

Today I'm showing you two projects I have ready for two parties I'm hosting tomorrow! Yay! I'm only new to hosting parties, but I am loving it so far! It's so much fun hanging out with some other crafty peeps, chatting about techniques or projects they've completed :)

The first party I have on tomorrow afternoon is for Cassie who is one of the mum's at the playgroup I take my baby boy Luke to. Cassie is just lovely & her boys are gorgeous! Cassie chose the Six Sided Sampler Bundle (with the Hexagon Punch) out of the current (nearly expired) catalog to make at her party. This bundle has since sold out but luckily I have it, so here is the sample card I have made for Cassie's guests to case.

The colours I have used are Crumb Cake, Basic Grey & Pool Party with a strip of Silver Glitter paper. I have also used the Bold Butterfly framelits with Pool Party cardstock on my Big Shot with the Precision Plate. And some Basic Rhinestones lol always with the rhinestones! I have also propped up the middle line of hexagons with Dimensionals & the butterfly is attached with a single Glue Dot. I have used the Thick Whisper White cardstock for the base.

This is also the card I am entering into the Crazy Crafters Team Highlights for this week. You can see all of our projects & vote for your faves here from 6:30pm tonight.

The second party I have on is tomorrow evening & for the lovely Caitlyn. I met Caitlyn at the market I had a stall at on Sunday 1 May, you can see my blog post about that here. Caitlyn also had a stall & is a Scentsy demo, so I'm having a party for her in a couple of weeks & I can't wait!! She gave me a bunch of really lovely sample waxes that I've had burning non stop lol! The house smells devine!

Caitlyn was interested in making some tags to go on her products & liked the Suite Sayings stamp set from the current catalog. I don't have that set, so I'm using the new Designer Tin of Cards stamp set from the new catalog - get your copy here. I have also used the Tags & Labels Framelits, which I love as they're all layering ones so you can pick all different sizes & layer them up! Here are the tags I have made for Caitlyn's guests to case:

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Dena Rekow!

Hi Crafty Peeps!

Today we are excited to be CASE-ing (Copy & Selectively Edit) Dena Rekow, who is also joining us on this hop! How exciting!

I hope you find great inspiration from all the projects in this hop. You may just be starting the hop here at my blog (Jessie Holton) or you may have come from the previous person on the list. Be sure to click on the next person in the list to continue your blog hop adventure casing Dena's work.

Here is the card I have chosen to case from Dena! Can you believe this is the first Hostess stamp set I bought back in September when I joined & this is the first time I'm using it & now it's retiring at the end of the month!! I am slapping myself for not getting into it any sooner!! Bad Jessie!!

And here is my version of Dena's beautiful card. I've decided to keep to just three colours, Flirty Flamingo, Copper & Mint Macaron - I think this colour combo is really pretty & I'm super happy with how this card has turned out!

I have used my trusty Whisper White for the base, butterfly & sentiment. I've embossed the Mint Macaron layer with the Decorative Dots emboss folder (retiring) on my Big Shot & then stamped on it with Mint Macaron ink, using the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set for the splashes in the background. I've also used the Big Shot with the Precision Plate to cut out the butterfly with the Bold Butterfly framelits.

The Copper Dots Washi Tape is from the Affectionately Yours set from the new catalog. I have heat embossed the butterfly from the Floral Wings (retiring) hostess stamp set with Copper heat emboss powder & set with the Versamark ink & heat tool. The Copper heat emboss powder is also from the new catalog.

I have used Flirty Flamingo ink for the flowers & sentiment - this is one of the five new 2016-2018 In Colours. I have used Mint Macaron for the leaves. The sentiment has been cut out with the Washi Label Punch (retiring). The white metallic thread is from my stash. I have used Dimensionals to prop up the butterfly & sentiment.

Happy Notes

Hi Crafters!

Today I have made a card for a couple of friends who are getting married this weekend! How exciting!! I've been wanting to make a gold & white card for ages now with flowers on it & this seemed like the perfect occasion for it, but I couldn't help throwing some pink into the background! Haha!

I have used thick Whisper White, heat embossed with gold powder using the versamark ink & heat tool. I have used two bundles - the Petite Petals bundle with the matching punch & the Happy Notes bundle with the Lots of Labels framelits. Neither of these bundles will be available in the new catalog so hurry & save 15% while you can!

I am so excited I finally got the Lots of Labels framelits so I can do some more layering on my cards & have it look really elegant. And they are so quick & easy to use in the Big Shot, too! 

I have used Flirty Flamingo ink from the new In Colours with one of the background stamps from the Timeless Textures stamp set for the front. This pink is becoming a fast favourite of mine!! The sentiment on the inside comes from the For the New Two stamp set.

The Happy Notes stamp set & the For the New Two stamp set will both be retiring at the end of May. And whilst the Petite Petals stamp & punch will still be available, it won't be in a bundle so hurry & save 15% while you can!

Market Day!

Hi Stampers!

Today I've got some pics for you from my market days! I had one market on Friday night & another on Sunday. I also have four Mother's Day cards left over from my stall, so if you would like one, shoot me an email with your address & I'll get it out in the mail to you today, free of charge! Here's my make & takes. I made them with the beautiful Birthday Bouquet DSP to match my Raffle Box that I showed you the other day. I have also used the same washi tapes - Watermelon & Copper from the new Affectionately Yours set from the new catalog & the Mint Macaron from the It's My Party set.

I used the Mint Macaron ink with the new Designer Tin of Cards stamp set that I got at OnStage! Woop! OnStage was so much fun!! We cut the sentiments out with the 2" Circle Punch.

The card bases were a mix of colours to match the DSP, in Watermelon Wonder, Soft Suede, Mossy Meadow. I also put a layer of Whisper White on the inside & we stamped the inside with the "wonderful person" sentiment from the Designer Tin of Cards stamp set.
