About Me

Hi gorgeous!

Let me introduce myself. I'm Jessie, wife of my handsome Davey & lucky mumma of two gorgeous little boys, Luke (born March 2015) & Ryan (born Feb 2017).

Luke 6 months (Sept 2015) when I joined Stampin' Up!

Ryan 2 weeks & Luke 23 months (Feb 2017)

As much as I absolutely love being a mum & I'm so grateful I have the opportunity to be a stay at home mum, I was lonely & bored when I went on maternity leave with Luke. Previously working as an accountant & an investigator for the State Revenue Office, I really missed having deadlines & reports to do, which I did not even consider would be a thing before I left work!

So I started getting back into craft & found card making was quite gratifying as I could complete something during one of Luke's naps. I was buying bits & pieces from all the different craft shops, with my baby in tow. My pet hate was not having coordinating products; my projects felt cheap & uncoordinated. And it was hard getting the baby ready & going into town just for some glue or getting the pram stuck down a narrow isle!

But then I came across a Stampin' Up! catalog. I found my wish list added up exactly to the joining kit amount & thought it would be absolutely ridiculous to pay $235 when I could get it for just $169, no strings attached. And believe me, I checked all the fine print to make sure it was no strings attached haha! I joined Stampin' Up! in Sept 2015, just for the kit & I had no intention of ever buying anything ever again haha! Look at me now! I fell in love with the quality & the coordination as soon as I got my first order (my kit) & I've been hooked ever since!

Even though the products are amazing, the best thing about Stampin' Up! is all the friendships I've made. True friendships with my team, customers & demonstrator sisters. It really is a wonderful community to be part of. I treasure each & every one of my supporters, friends & family. Without you, none of this would be even possible. You fill my heart & I'm no longer lonely or bored.

I promoted to Bronze Elite in December 2015, just with my own purchases. Then a friend requested a party & I have never looked back. I started offering parties & classes regularly, built up my customer list & started giving out catalogs left, right & center. I promoted to Silver in May 2016 & Silver Elite in February 2018. I held my first stamp camp (craft retreat) mid 2018 & have held them twice yearly since.

2018 was a pretty amazing year:
  • Promoted to Silver Elite in February
  • Hit the 10K CSV Accelerator in August
  • Ranked Top Five in Australia for both
    • Recruiting (2nd place) &
    • Leadership (5th place)
  • Ranked 16th Overall in Australia (out of about 5,000 Demos)
  • Ranked 182nd Overall Globally (out of about 50,000 Demos)
  • Presented at Melbourne OnStage November 2018 on the Classic Garage Suite
  • And I am super excited I earned my first incentive trip in August 2018 - my husband & I cruised through the Greek Isles in July 2019

  • This year the compensation plan was updated, so there was no 10K accelerator or 250 Global

It all feels very surreal. But I did not achieve any of this on my own; I'm so grateful for all of my supporters! My husband, Dave, is my number one supporter & has been pivotal in my ability to create projects, host my own events & attend Stampin' Up! events. I am also very grateful for my in laws, who regularly watch the kids & for my big brother, who is my biggest cheerleader. And of course, for all my customers, team, family & friends - each & every one of you have played a very important part in my success.

I have loved arts & crafts since I was little & have been making cards for friends & family for ever, but my skills have certainly improved since getting onto Stampin' Up! The products, quality & company are amazing! I love how everything coordinates! But the founder Shelli Gardener & her daughter Sara Douglass (CEO) are so humble & heartfelt. They make a real difference in the community through their Statement of the Heart projects, which operates in all markets/countries. And they are so approachable at Stampin' Up! events.

We live on the beautiful Bellarine Peninsula, Victoria, Australia with choc Labrador, Rolo (born April 2016) & our chooks, who give us lovely free range eggs & spend their days wandering the block, although they are fenced off from the vegie patch!

Molly, my beloved little kitten born 4 October 2001, is the inspiration behind my original card making business name MollyPossum Creations. Molly passed 19 October 2017, at the ripe old age of 16 & is buried in the back yard in his favourite sun tanning spot, under the passion fruit vine. Much loved & very much missed.

We now have a new little kitty on board, Toby. He has the same birthday as Molly, just a few years different hahah! Toby came to us in December 2018 & we are looking forward to a lifetime of love & snuggles. He loves the kids, Rolo & the chooks. He's a great fit for our little family.

  1. Hi Jessie, Just came across you via Pinterest. I wanted to let you know that i loved reading your "About Me". What an amazing journey you have started on. I joined back in 2008, for a lot of the same reasons. I too simply fell in love with everything Stampin' Up has to offer. Enjoy your wonderful holiday next month, sounds like you have certainly earned it. Might run into you in Sydney later in the year you never know. Bye for now Juliann (Adelaide)
