Ink & Inspiration Feb Blog Hop - In the City

Hi Crafters!

Thanks for joining us for the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop for February. This month, we are all taking our inspiration from the Blog Hop Header. I love the soft tones & the white geometric overlay, so that's what I've gone with.

I've made this card for my upline Kylie, who has just returned home from several months overseas. She has a bit of a fascination with tassels, so I've had a bit of fun making this street party themed card & used all the little tassels that come in the Sweet Soiree Embellishment Kit. I've kept the colour combo to yellow, pink & blue, which are the colours from our Blog Hop Header.

I made a Brusho background on Watercolor cardstock, using the Yellow Crystals, but I made another with the Prussian Blue next to it, so there were a few blue crystals that went onto the yellow & I think they've made for a really pretty background.

I've white heat embossed one of the little houses from the In The City Hostess Stamp Set from the 2018 Annual Catalog all over the front. I intended to have straight little rows but it's very hard to see where you're stamping with Versamark haha! Anyway, I like the chaotic background it's created with them not being straight.

I've also used the Starburst Punch with Marina Mist & the 2" Circle Punch with Flirty Flamingo & I've stamped in those colours, too. Lastly, I've added a little Silver Metallic Thread & some of the new adhesive backed Tutti Fruitti Sequins in yellow. Peel & stick, yes please!

The welcome & hello friend sentiments come from the Wood Words stamp set.

Lastly, some simple stamping on the inside in So Saffron & Marina Mist. I hope you have enjoyed my cards today & that you can hop around the rest of the crew & show them some love. They are all very talented, so you wont want to miss any of their posts.
