Today I've been playing with the Party With Cake stamp set from Stampin' Up! I find this one is great for masculine cards & I needed four, so I've made a bunch - same, same but different. And after making so many Christmas cards lately, it was nice to have a break the last few days & make non Christmassy cards haha!
I have made two with Night of Navy cardstock bases & two with Real Red cardstock bases & I've alternated the striped Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack in Basic Black & Basic Grey. Next, I have used the largest plain circle from the Layering Circle Framelits to cut out the Crushed Curry & then two sizes down to cut out the Whisper White, all on my Big Shot. I have also used the Big Shot & the Birthday Fiesta Embossing Folder & run through the Crushed Curry circles again to give them a bit of texture.
I have stamped the Whisper White circles in Night of Navy, Real Red & Crushed Curry with the sentiments & images from the Party With Cake stamp set, propped them up on Dimensionals & made a messy nest of Black Metallic Thread behind.
Inside, I've added a layer of Whisper White cardstock & stamped again in Night of Navy, Real Red & Crushed Curry with the sentiments & images from the Party With Cake stamp set.
And what's a card without a matching envelope? These are the lovely Whisper White C6 envelopes from Stampin' Up! & they have a lovely sateen feel to them & curved edges on the flap. They also come in Very Vanilla so you can coordinate them with whatever card you make.
