Flurry of Wishes for #WWYS95 & #GDP067

Hi Crafters!

Geez, the Christmas rush is on now! Just went up the street to grab a few last minute groceries & it's mayhem on the roads & in the shops! Wowzers! I think I'll try to just stay home today & tomorrow now :P

Here's the couple of last minute, super simple cards I made yesterday. I've managed to use up the rest of my precut pieces & meet the criteria for TWO challenges - the What Will You Stamp & Global Design Project challenges.

I've used a Real Red cardstock base with a layer of Whisper White on which I've stamped the flourish from the Timeless Textures stamp set 4 times, to make a little Christmas Tree. I've inked it in Garden Green. Then I've punched the top with the Hearts Confetti Punch & added the Real Read Stitched Edge Ribbon with staples before adhering it to the base.

I've Silver heat embossed the two star stamp from the Flurry of Wishes stamp set & cut out with the matching Flurry Punch, put some Dimensionals & a little nest of the Silver Metallic Thread behind it & voila, front done!

I made two of these cards & used the smaller star on the other one, so no waste.

Then on the inside, I've been really cheeky & just used the left over inserts from yesterday's batch of cards. Apparently I can't count & so made a few extra lol let's blame it on the baby brain! Luckily, I had even stamped them on Whisper White when I was using Very Vanilla yesterday... I'm not even sure how that happened haha!

I have entered this card into the What Will You Stamp Flurry of Wishes Challenge #95

And the Global Design Project Trees Challenge #67

  2. Love the traditional colours with the non-traditional tree! I never would have thought to use that flourish in that way. Very clever. Thanks for playing at Global Design Project with us and Merry Christmas!
