Stampin Dreams Blog Hop - November

Hi Crafters!

Today we've got the monthly Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop & we are showing our favourite techniques. If you blog regularly & you would like to hop with our group, please click this link to join our Facebook group. We would love to have you hop with us!

One of my favourite techniques is actually showcasing the beautiful Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up! I love the gorgeous selection of patterns & colours & I just love how easy it makes creating a beautiful card. Best of all, I love that all Stampin' Up!'s products are coordinating in colours & patterns.

Today I'm showing you some pretty cards I made for my customers & team mates. I hope they enjoyed receiving them as much as I enjoyed making them!

I have backed them with the Merry Music DSP, which has Christmas Carols printed on it, but I really think you can use if for more than Christmas, as you only notice the carols when you're looking really closely.

I have used the coordinating Naturally Eclectic DSP & Oh So Eclectic Bundle along with some fussy cut florets from the Year of Cheer DSP in copper & champagne foil. I have also added half a  Delicate Paper Doily behind the 'bouquet'.

And of course, I have stamped the images in the coordinating colours from the Naturally Eclectic DSP, in Night of Navy, Lemon Lime Twist, Berry Burst & Pool Party. This is such a gorgeous Suite! One of my favourites! xx

I hope you have enjoyed my cards & that you get out that DSP & chop it up! #loveitchopit

Here is the list of lovely people participating today. Please hop around & leave some blog love along your travels xx

Some tips for using your Blends:
  • Opposites attract! Stampin' Blends are alcohol markers, so you need to use a water based ink. Tuxedo Black Momento ink is perfect for this.
    • Archival Black ink is alcohol based, so it will blend/bleed if you use it with your Stampin' Blends. Archival Black is better suited to using with our water based Classic Stampin' Pads & Stampin' Write Markers.
  • Stampin' Blends work perfectly for all your alcohol ink techniques with Glossy Paper.
  • For a matte finish, use Thick Whisper White cardstock. The ink will show through on the other side, so to achieve the best look, adhere your piece with Dimensionals or layer it & use a piece of scrap or Grid Paper to cover your work surface
  • Have fun colouring in all those pretty stamp sets with outlined images, use the Just Add Ink Specialty Designer Series Paper or the specifically designed Color Me Happy Kit & Stamps.
