Cookie Cutter for #GDP059

Hi Crafters!

Today I'm playing along with the Global Design Project Animal Theme Challenge & I am smashing out the Christmas cards for family & friends! I like to do mixed packs & so I usually come up with a few different designs to put in each pack.

I have cased my own card from Cassie's party just recently, cos I loved the sketch layout I got from Strawberry Sketches for that one & thought it would be easy to produce in bulk. I think they're super cute! I hope you like them, too!

I've started with a Crumb Cake cardstock base & added a layer of Whisper White cardstock & the Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper (DSP). This DSP is on sale until 31 October with a select range of others - Buy 3 & get one Free! See below for more info. I've also added a strip of scrap Candy Cane Lane DSP in a different pattern, to give a little lift to the card - waste not, want not!

I have also used the Gold Foil cardstock, cut with the largest Layering Circle Framelit with the scalloped edge in the Big Shot & then I've run it through the Big Shot again with the Softly Falling Embossing Folder. I have stamped the little reindeers from the Christmas Cookie Cutter stamp set in Crumb Cake & cut them out with the matching punch. You can get these in a bundle & save 10%!

Here's a bunch I did in the different papers from the Candy Cane Lane DSP with the reindeers.

And a bunch with the little ginger bread man instead.

These two originally had reindeer on them, but I realised I'd stuck the front layers on upside down! So I covered them with ginger bread men haha!

I have stamped all of the insides the same as above, using the Peace This Christmas stamp set for the images & sentiment. Aren't they lovely? I stamped the sentiment in Real Red & then set up where I wanted my images on the card & then used a large Clear Block to pick them up, so I only had to ink & stamp once on each card with the Crumb Cake ink. I use this little trick a lot with smaller images that I want to stamp in the same colour & find its really useful to cut down on time when you're stamping a bunch of cards. I hope you find it useful, too!
