Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Sarah Fleming - Color Theory Memories & More Cards

Hi Crafters!

Some exciting news for you today! We are CASE-ing (Copy & Selectively Edit) the lovely SARAH FLEMING, who is also joining us on this hop! Exciting! Sarah is one of my Craft Crushes & how funny is her blog name - Prepare to Dye! Ha! Love it! I've done a few blog hops with Sarah & I chuckle every time I go to her blog & see her blog name! xx

I hope you find great inspiration from all the projects in this hop. You may be starting the hop here at my blog (Jessie Holton) or you may have come from the previous person on the list. Be sure to click on the next person in the list to continue your blog hop adventure casing Sarah's work.

Here is Sarah's card which I've chosen to Case. I love how simple the Memories & More cards can make card making & so I have chosen to use the Color Theory M&M pack to make my cards today.

And here are my cards using the Color Theory pack:

The standard C6 card size in Australia means you need to trim a smidge off these cards to use them as card fronts. I like to trim mine to 14.5 x 10.1 cm so there is a couple of millimeters around the edge. I have used Thick Whisper White cardstock card bases today.

The sentiment I have used is from the Just Add Text stamp set, stamped with White Craft Ink on Basic Black cardstock & cut out with the largest Stitched Shapes oval die.

I have added a length of Berry Burst Finely Woven Ribbon, some Linen Thread & a few sequins from the Metallic Sequin Assortment. This simple layout made it quick & easy to put these stylish cards together. This is my go-to card layout!

Here is the card we made at OnStage in April using the new Memories & More cards. This one has the Berry Burst Flower fussy cut from one of the cards & added to the card front with two more cards & a length of the Crushed Curry Mini Chevron Ribbon. We have also used the Colorful Seasons stamp set to stamp the little flowers in the background in Dapper Denim.

And lastly, a nice bright yellow one features one of the clear acetate cards with the small hexagons & the sentiment on it, over a card with the larger hexagons & a bow tied with the Mini Chevron Ribbon - all in Crushed Curry. I think this would make a lovely anniversary card. I have stapled the cards together so no glue marks showed on the acetate & then used Dimensionals to adhere it to the card base.

I hope you have enjoyed my card today & that you can hop around the rest of the Crazies to see all our cases of Sarah's work! xx

September Stampin Dreams Blog Hop - Just Add Text

Hi Crafters!

Thank you for joining us for the monthly Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop. If you blog regularly & would like to participate in future hops with me & the gang, please join our Facebook Group.

Today we are doing Something Different! The gorgeous Sandra Mastello joked that would be a clean craft room - I hear you, sister! Haha! Don't we all? My something different is adding ink to the embossing folders for a really fun look. I made these backgrounds in a live tutorial on my VIP Facebook page a while back, but I've never used them.... until now!

I have teamed both of these cards with the Just Add Text Stamp set. I have used White Craft Ink on Basic Black cardstock & die cut with the largest Oval die from the Stitched Shapes Dies. I have used a Thick Whisper White cardstock base, a Bermuda Bay layer & Bermuda Bay Chevron Ribbon with some Metallics Assortment Sequins.

For this first card, I have used the Hexagon Embossing Folder with a little Sahara Sand ink, Whisper White cardstock & some Silver Sequins.

For this second card, I have used Calypso Coral on the Petal Burst Embossing folder, spritzed with water on Shimmery White cardstock & Copper Sequins. I have also added a few of the Copper twigs I had previously fussy cut for my Holiday Catalog Mash Up Card - this is from the Year of Cheer DSP.

I'm really happy with how these have turned out & will definitely be making more of these backgrounds.

Check out the rest of the crew here. You don't want to miss any!

OSAT Blog Hop - Birthday Memories Suite - Little Girl

Hi Crafters!

This month our One Stamp at a Time Group are doing a Throw Back Blog Hop. You may be starting here or joining me from the lovely Jennifer Hill, but I hope you can hop all the way around & see everyone's lovely projects! Remember to leave some blog love along the way - everyone loves receiving a comment xx

I have thrown back all the way to my last OSAT projects from August, so not very far back haha! But I just loved the Birthday Memories Suite & I've just done a Stampin' Bingo Day with it, so I made a bunch of samples & I'll be showing them to you over the next few blogs I do.

This bundle is such great value! It comes with the stamps, dies & paper!

In my previous card, I used the little girl & I've made a few more cards with her. She is just too cute! The framelits match the image of her front on in the Designer Series Paper (DSP) & also the image of the back of her in the stamp set.

This is the card I made for each of the attendees from my Stampin' Bingo Day. I have used Blushing Bride, the Ruffles Embossing Folder, the Layering Ovals dies & the Stitched Edge Dies.

I have embellished the card with Silver Metallic Thread, Clear Faceted Gems & the Silver Natural Trim.

I've stamped the inside to match in Blushing Bride & Black. I've used Very Vanilla cardstock for the inside & the scalloped edge oval on the front.

*** Updated: This card tied for second place in the Crazy Crafters Team Weekly Project Highlights.
http://www.craftykylie.com/2017/09/crazy-crafters-highlights-vote-for-your_15.html

My second card was one that I made for the display board.

I have used a Thick Whisper White base with a layer of Copper Foil, embossed with the Sparkle Embossing Folder. I have used the same oval dies as above, but I have also used the die for the outline of the girl & put her back into position with Dimensionals & more Silver Metallic Thread.

The senitment is stamped on Very Vanilla carstock & cut out with the Pretty Label Punch, but I have trimmed off the top & bottom to make it a bit narrower. I have embellished with Vintage Crochet Trim & Black Rhinestones.

I have stamped the inside with Blushing Bride in & some fussy cut presents. There is a die for one of the presents, the party hat & the balloon, which I have used.

Make sure you check out all the goodies made by the crew this month, you sure don't want to miss any! Next up is the very talented Rick Adkins xx

Next up is Sue Plote
